Our Mission
GIS was founded by a group of students twelve years ago, and although the Summit has taken varied forms throughout its lifetime, the generations of students who have led this event have held true to the Summit’s original mission of turning awareness into action.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
The foundation of GIS is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, each of which targets a societal issue and provides solution-based dialogue to address it.
